Description
Maude Adams was one of America's great actresses in the Turn-of-the-Century Theater. She is still revered by drama buffs today, and was the inspiration for the movie, "Somewhere in Time", with Christopher Reeve playing a man who falls in love with an actress, and develops a way to travel back in time to meet her.

Maud, the toast of the "Stage door Johnnies" of the 1890s, was the original "Peter Pan", I think. I remember reading she remained unmarried all her life - she died in the early 1950s.
